SF Vintner's Market Recap

Here is the awaited recap of the SF Vintner's Market. Yes, it's a little bit delayed late...

The SF Vintner's Market 'Spring Time in the City' was on the weekend of April 14th to 15th. Two whole days to enjoy wine... (well, one day, if you paid just for one day) But, if you paid the extra $$$, tequila and whiskey can be tasted as well, in the Reserve Tasting Room. This is exactly what we did this time around. We paid the extra $$$ to get into the Reserve Room. And, we were able to get in earlier- an hour earlier, than the general public. Deal!

Although, I think next time, I would like to be there when there is enough of a crowd, since, it was pretty empty, when we got there. Well, our group and a few other wine-aficionados and the wine vendors themselves. But, that is not what we want to hear about. We want to hear about the wine, the experience...

So far, we have always met up at Squat and Gobble for some brunch. Some good food in the belly, before a long day of drinking wine. And, some whiskey and tequila. The food choices are diverse and simple. And, big servings. I love their crepes. Enough said.

On our way to Fort Mason after brunch.

The weather, thankfully, cooperated. The sun was out, the weather was perfect. As a matter of fact, it was actually warm out. And, they cautioned us that it will rain. The wine gods out there heard us this time. No rain on SF Vintner's Market. Frankly, rain and wine events just don't mix very well. Sunshine and nice, warm weather was the forecast.
The crew. A little small this time around.
Waiting to get in...

The early birds are greeted with a vast space at the Festival Pavilion, with no crowd yet. But, as one o'clock rolled by, you had to start doing the side along gig just to move around the whole place. It was packed. It seemed to me, that the flavors of the day were Pinot Noir and Chardonnays. There was a lot of both!
Like I said, empty... Except for you and me and the wine...
Trying some Chardonnay from Clouds Rest
More wine to try...
The crowd from the second floor where the whiskey and tequila tasting was held.

The whiskey booth as well as the tequila booth was upstairs. I'm not much of a whiskey or a tequila girl, but, the options one had, were sorta limitless...

All done! See you next time!

Also, happening that weekend was the Gilt City SF Warehouse Sale. Okay, it was on Saturday. The long line outside the door beckoned my attention and I simply had no idea what was going on. But, on Britt and Whit, a fashion blog I follow, they mentioned the sale. But, sadly, the hubby and I had left the city, by the time I had realize it. I could have scored more designer duds for a deal. Like, the blouse I got from Marni at H&M.  Oh, well...

But, until the next wine adventure!
