Australian National Maritime Museum

The Australian National Maritime Museum is another museum that was on our list of museums to visit. It is a federally operated maritime museum located in Darling Harbour and has been operating since 1991. The museum has seven main galleries and such galleries include the discovery of Australia, the relationship of the Aborigines and water and another the relationship between the United States of America and Australia.

Tickets to the museum can run from being free to $32 AUD for an adult. For more info on ticket prices, see here. The Big Ticket gives you unlimited access to everything that is open at the museum during the day of your visit. We just did the Free Galleries ticket, which gives access to the main exhibits, Mini Mariners Play, Sea Science Pontoon and Dick Hartog's Pewter Plate.

A quick glance into the Mini Mariners Play! area. It is very tiny and one that I think is more better suited for children the ages of two. It was just M and O, for a good fifteen minutes until another child came in and it felt crowded, with myself being in there and the other child's grandparents.
