An Ode to Music- Grammy Awards 2012
Let the countdown begin... Music's biggest night is coming!
You know, what I'm talking about. It's the Grammy's! And, you can't tell me that you're not looking forward to it. Especially, the performances.
I'm looking towards watching the show, simply to watch Adele. Her songs are so gritty and heavy with feeling. And, it makes you FEEL! And, that is what music is suppose to do to you. It'll be interesting to see how she fares after having to deal with trauma on her vocal cords. Her album "21" was the top-selling album of 2011 and is considered to be a heavy favorite as we head into the awards. Other favorites are Taylor Swift, Bruno Mars, Coldplay and Maroon 5.
Other performers, who are joining Adele, are Katy Perry, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Clarkson, Bruno Mars, Rihanna, Coldplay, Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney. I believe, that this will be Miss Perry's first performance since announcing her split with husband Russell Brand. I thought it was very interesting how her last song released in 2011, was the "One That Got Away," and then a few days later, the announcement that the two were divorcing surfaced. (Shrug) I thought that they made a very cute couple, but, alas, I'll just have to look back at pictures. Let's get back on track, looking forward to watching all these performances. Have I said that already?
The Grammy's are determined by its population of 13,000 voting members. And here are the 2012 Grammy nominees: (I've highlighted, who I think would win each category)

To each their own music... Music is a balm to the soul. You just find those songs that you just march to and feel like you belong. When the nominees were announced, a concert was also held. I watched the Grammy Nominations Concert and to me, it seemed to lack the show that is the Grammy's. It aired on CBS back in December 2011.
So... let's get back to the countdown- only 5 more days to go until the show. Stay tuned and watch the Grammy's on CBS, February 12, 8/7c.
So, tell me, who you think is going to win each category?
