Weekend Fun :: Labor Day Weekend

This past weekend was spent hanging out with family. My cousin and her family drove up to spend Labor Day weekend with us. It was a great way to say goodbye to August and to welcome September.

Saturday was spent at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk. It was a nice sunny day, perfect weather to usher in the weekend. The little peanut went on some rides along with her cousin and had a blast. We ended the day with having tri-tip and sausages. Along, with lots and lots of chips and dip.

Sunday was spent in the city. We had brunch at Squat and Gobble in the Marina District and walked over to Fisherman's Wharf. We decided to be tourists and took the Duck tour. As described by the hubby, it seemed like a parody of an actual tour. If you want good fun, this tour is not bad. The little peanut enjoyed it. The kids on this tour enjoyed it immensely, since they were able to man the duck and drive it around on the water. Did I mention, it is both a land and water tour? It runs for 90 minutes, which gives you a good overview of the city. We had Captain Dan as our tour guide.

I hope you all have a great Labor Day and I'll see you soon.
