It was The Game of Thrones until recently. There has been such buzz around the books, The Fifty Shades trilogy, written by E.L. James. E.L. James is based in West London and is a TV executive as well as a wife and a mother. She always wanted to write stories as a child and these books bring that dream of hers into fruition. The trilogy was developed from a Twilight fanfiction and E.L. James decided to rewrite the story as an original piece changing the characters name to Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.

I just got the book recently, like Thursday, while out with the hubby at the local Target and plucked the courage to actually read the book. I've read the reviews on the content of the book but could never wrap my thoughts around it. Maybe, I am a little too innocent at times.

While out, at Laguna Seca this weekend, I brought the book along in case I got bored from the six-hour car race. Yes, it was six hours long and I did have fun. But, that is not the topic of this post... So, midway through the race, I took out the book and decided to divulge in some literary reads. It basically had me at hello. I can understand why it create such buzz all over. And, I love it! Even now, the book is staring at me, begging me to finish it. But, I want to prolong the journey... since I don't have the other two books yet in the trilogy. Another trip to Target or the local bookstore, is definitely in my near future.

And, I love the name Christian Grey... Miss E.L. James, I applaud you! It has been a LONG time since a book has grabbed my attention such as yours. It reminds me of another author that I enjoy reading, Miss Laurell K. Hamilton... But, the two of you are in different genres but the love the books the same.

I don't want to give anything away... but, if you have not read the books or have heard all the buzz around it, I guarantee that you'll enjoy Fifty Shades of Grey, it is a great introduction to the characters as well as the storyline... It is very moving and amusing at the same time, and you get to feel all the excitement as well as the trepidation our heroine, Ana, goes through since it is written through her eyes... Enjoy!
