The Dresden Files

Lately, I've been watching The Dresden Files on Netflix. I started watching the show since I've finished watching The Tudors. It follows Harry Dresden, a wizard. The series was taken from books written by Jim Butcher. Harry Dresden works to protect the general public from the magic and dark forces surrounding them. The tv series was short-lived, only twelve episodes was ever made. It has Paul Blackthorne as the main lead as Harry Dresden. I was hoping that there was going to be more episodes of the show, but Sci-Fi Channel announced back in 2007 that it was not being renewed for another season. Hopefully, it will gain a cult-like following like Firefly did. The twelve episodes are a great introduction to Jim Butcher's series about Dresden. I think that a trip to the local library is in my future.

Another book series that has been turned into a tv series is The Sword of Truth series by Terry Goodkind called Legend of the Seeker.
